CONSOL Energy Inc. announced August 8 that it has closed on its previously announced agreement to sell the Miller Creek and Fola mine complexes in southern West Virginia to Southeastern Land LLC, a Kentucky-based company.
Miller Creek is an active mine site, producing 2.1 million tons of coal in 2015, while the Fola site is idled and last produced 1.3 million tons in 2012.
