Just a county over there is a pumpkin patch that has grown into a major attraction for community members and visitors alike.  Timothy and Brandy Chandler of Elkview have turned their farm into a must-do visit with the family.

There is something for all ages, from stick barrel horse racing, rubber ducky races, sack races, bow and arrows, and a variety of playplaces to enjoy including a tractor playhouse that is a must for the little ones.  The views on this farm are something out of a magazine, making it a go-to spot for family pictures.

As the kids are running around, enjoying all the farm has to offer, be sure to grab some pulled pork nachos or pick from a variety of treats at the concession stand.  Before you leave for the day, stop by the pumpkin patch and pick the perfect gourd to decorate.

Directions: Chandler Pumpkin Farm, located at 94  Dickens Drive, Elkview WV- Do NOT get off at the Elkview exit, get off at the Clendenin Exit and follow the pumpkin signs. They are open on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m..  Admission is $7 per person, with kids 2 and under admitted for free. Pumpkins range from $3-$8.

Upcoming Special Events:

-October 22- starting at 8 p.m.- Chandler Pumpkin Farm Haunted Trail

-October 30- Chandler Pumpkin Farm Trunk or Treat.

Follow them on Facebook to stay in loop at Chandler’s Pumpkin Farm.
