The luncheon at Hardings Family Restaurant June 7, 2017 was a big success.

Present were people from the Clay County High School graduation classes from 1941 to 1967, with a few years missing in between. It would be nice to fill in those years at the next luncheon, scheduled for Wednesday, September 13, at 12:30 p.m. Mark your calendars and watch for a notice in the Free Press a week or two in advance just as a reminder.

They had a few “first-timers” at the luncheon and they’re looking forward to their keeping their promise of “We’ll be back.” Pass the word along to your classmates and other alumni that the luncheon is a great time of fellowship and reminiscing (plus good food and good service).

Those attending June 7 were (including their class year if known): Oliver Arbogast  (‘49); Alpha Boggs (Hoover ’68); Arthur Boggs (‘67); Norris Boggs (’47); Mary Boggs; Eloise Boggs (’41); Christine Moore Beaver (’47); Norma Chapman (’50); Sandra Claybrook (’62); Henry Dean (Lewisburg ’52); Joyce Samples Tucker Dean (’50); Gary Grose (’47); Zelma Murphy Heater, Billy Hicks, Mary King Lawrence (’45); Inez Murphy Maggio (’47); Gory McLaughlin; Duane Moore (’56); Bill Mullins (’54); Frances Mullins (’58); Lenora Boggs Pettit (’60); Marlene Cooper Potasnik (’47); Nelson Spencer (’43), Deacon Walker (’43); Katy Butcher Walker (’47).

Stopping by to say “Hi” were Creed and Loretta Samples Moore who were having lunch at Hardings that day.

Thanks go to Christine Moore Beaver who has coordinated these luncheons for several years and will be giving you another call around the first part of September.
