Congratulations to Isaac Brown, a fifth grade student at Clay Elementary School, for his third place finish at the RESA III Regional Math Field Day held on March 23.

Fourth through 12th grade students from Boone, Clay, Kanawha and Putnam counties gathered at the University of Charleston to compete as mathletes. The events included a written test, mental math, estimation computation and physical estimation.

At the conclusion of some intense competition, Brown was named a champion and will move on to represent his region at the State Math Field Day.
