Axys Projects will now be accepting arts and crafts from local makers on consignment. Anyone who makes quality primitives, arts, or crafts of any kind and would like to sell them may contact Cathy Nichols at 304-587-7527 for more information, or stop by the shop at 282 Main Street.
Also, the Axys shop will be featuring an artist of the month as part of the ART-Beat of Clay showcase and workshop series. The artist of the month will be selected based on a variety of criteria, but the artist MUST be a Clay County resident. The purpose of ART-Beat is to show off our local talent. There are some wonderful artists in Clay County and Axys wants to be the place where their work is available for others to enjoy. There will be monthly announcements for the ART-Beat featured artist and the ART-Beat workshop series in local papers and on Axys’ Facebook page, so check in often.
Lastly, Axys is planning to open a coffee shop inside the retail area of our Main Street location. An opening date has not been confirmed (definitely before the Apple Festival), but the coffee shop will be selling iced and frozen coffees and some snacks. So get ready for a trip to Axys soon to enjoy local art, have a nice coffee and visit some friends!
