The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will make its way through Mt. Nebo on Saturday, March 15, 2014. The parade will begin 1:00PM. Area businesses, schools and civic organizations are encouraged to participate by creating and entering a float. Trophies will be awarded in four categories, best livestock entry, most unique tractor, most creative elementary school float and, first and second in St. Patrick’s theme oriented floats.

Along with the parade we have a very unique organization, The Grand Order of the Royal Leprechauns. Ours is an order steeped in a tradition of frolic, merriment, and most of all generosity. Though we gather for our amusement, it is a greater purpose we serve, that of raising money for those organizations worthy of our support. Please help us support local scholarships, our community libraries, fire departments, youth sports and other philanthropic organizations.

Staging for the parade will begin at 11:00 at the U-Save Travel Plaza in Mt. Nebo and the parade will proceed along Rt. 41 and onto Old Rt. 19. This would be an excellent opportunity for your business or organization to, not only support a great community celebration, but to promote and showcase your organization. For more information and to register your float, please call (304) 445-5330. Please come out and support the parade and community spirit with either a float or as a spectator.
