Alex Williams

It has been said that a country is only as good as its people, and within that population of people are those that make sure their countrymen are safe from evil forces that may come against them.  It takes a special breed of people to live the life of a soldier.  It takes a desire to be in the service of others to the point of one’s own life.  There have been many that have graduated from CCHS and have gone on to become a part of our military.  This can be seen with the many banners that hang from the posts in the streets of Clay.

Alex Williams comes from a long ancestry that has served proudly in the military.  Williams joined the Air Force and graduated basic training on June 11, 2020, at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.  He stayed in Lackland to further his training in the security forces field.  He graduated his training on August 28, 2020, and was promoted to Airman First Class.  He will now be stationed in Osan, South Korea, to protect and serve the USA and its interests overseas.

Alex is the son of proud parents Geoffrey and Laura Williams of Maysel and will no doubt do his job and do it well, proving that being a West Virginian is an honorable lineage.

Congratulations to Alex Williams on his accomplishments. I am sure that when you are called upon, whether it be big or small, you will give your part to keep this country a safe place to live.  “We do not choose our own parts in life, and have nothing to do with selecting those parts.  Our simple duty is confined to playing them well.” –Epictetus
