Alcohol Compliance Checks Conducted in Charleston Area

On July 6th, 2015, The Charleston Police Department Special Enforcement Unit, conducted underage compliance checks in Charleston Area. Out of the 21 establishments visited, 2 sold to underage operative, overall a 10.5% buy rate. Citations were issued to all salesclerks by Charleston Police Department. This was funded by the West Virginia Governors Highway Safety Program.

Establishments visited are as follows:
Non-Compliance

Rite Aid 3801 MacCorkle Avenue, SE Charleston

In-Compliance
The Charleston Police Department would like to thank the following businesses who successfully passed the alcohol compliance checks for their diligence and ensuring underage minors will not be served alcohol.
