On Tuesday, March 1, businesses and organizations from our county were invited by Delegate Roger Hanshaw to spend the day at our capitol showcasing many of the positive things Clay County has to offer. Those participating included the Buffalo Creek Recreational Trail, the Buffalo Creek Watershed, Fairview Baptist Church’s RU program (addictive behavior recovery program), CAEZ’s J.G. Bradley Campground, Meadow Branch Farms, the Quilt Group, Clay Health care (former Laurel Nursing & Rehab), and Frontier Communications.
Those participating were able to share many of the good things going on in Clay County with people from all over the state, as well as our state leaders.
Golden Delicious apples were delivered to the desks of all Senators and Delegates with the message: Compliments of Clay County – Home of the Golden Delicious Apple. Delegate Hanshaw recognized the Clay County delegation from the floor during the morning session.
