The Mustang wrestling team has seen some war on the floor. The team has grown in experience, and the boys are winning some individual matches now. The wrestlers were at the Elkview Middle school this past week and showed that the CCMS Middle School wrestling program is back and will be a power house next season since this has been a rebuild year. On Monday evening, Daniel Mollohan won his first match of the season. The Mustangs have just a couple of matches left one of which is in Summersville at the CWVAC Conference Championship. The CCHS wrestlers once again came out of a tournament smelling like a rose. Wyatt Dawson, Brandon White, and Robert Pritt burnt the mats at the Calhoun Invitational tournament. Each of them placed first – congratulations to the CCHS team. Brandon White retained his title as the best 195 pounder in the state with his first place ranking. This weekend, CCHS will host the Bob Stover Classic held annually in honor of one of the greatest wrestling coaches of all time who took the CCHS wrestling program to new levels with numerous state champions. Come out and enjoy some great wrestling and see if the CCHS Panthers will hold onto their title as Bob Stover Classic Champions. The wrestling begins at 10:00 am.
