Southern States Cooperative will review its operations at a series of local annual meetings, including the upcoming meeting for members of Clay Farm Bureau Cooperative, Inc.
“Fiscal 2013 was a solid year for Southern States Cooperative,” says President and CEO Thomas R. Scribner. “The winter was much more “normal” than last year which allowed us to grow our propane sales by five million gallons. Spring was not quite as ideal as wet weather hindered planting but Southern States more than doubled cash earnings from last year. During Fiscal 2014, the corporate direction will be to focus on the entire customer experience for current, new and prospective customers. It is our belief that with a customer focused sales strategy, 2014 will be an even better year.”
Clay Farm Bureau Cooperative, Inc. will hold their annual membership meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Clay Farm Bureau Cooperative, Inc., 111 Main Street, Clay, West Virginia. The business meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The Cooperative’s management will use the meeting to report on both local and company-wide operations, as well as projected budget results for next year. Local board members will be elected and retiring board members will be recognized.
Nominees for the board include Roy L. Metheney and Wayne Woods.
“The annual meeting is the best single opportunity to outline our plans for the future to our membership and discuss our progress in meeting our financial goals,” notes Marshia Cottrell, manager of Clay Farm Bureau Cooperative. The Board of Directors, management and employees of Southern States continue to be thankful for your business and dedication.
