Senator Blair Announces Launch of ‘Report It WV’ Hotline

Senator Craig Blair, R-Berkeley, has announced the launch of the “Report It WV” hotline, a way for people across the state to report tips about state government fraud, waste or abuse.
Senator Blair, who serves as Chairman of the Committee on Government Organization, launched the tip line last week to make it easier for concerned citizens to connect with Senate staff members who can investigate their claims.
“There isn’t a week that goes by that I don’t receive a message from someone asking questions about something they’ve seen in government that doesn’t seem right to them,” Senator Blair said. “We wanted to make it possible for people to speak to someone, or to send in their questions, and know it’s not disappearing into thin air.”
Senate staff members will be responsible for collecting information from the tips and investigating, and will have the ability to decide where to refer situations for further action.
Tips may be reported anonymously. The Report It WV phone line is 304-357-7935, or tips can be sent by email to ReportItWV@wvlegislature.gov.
“We’re really counting on West Virginians to be our watchdog in the field,” Senator Blair said. “I would encourage anybody who sees something that doesn’t add up to contact us right away.”
