Eric Mcglothlin sets up some offense.

The Panthers had a tough go with #2 Poca on Monday night. Once again the boys couldn’t seem to get the ball to drop their way. Defensively, the Panthers held the fast paced Poca to 54 points, but offensively the Panthers couldn’t trade basket for basket and keep the game close. None of the Panthers went double digit; Eric Mcglothin and Noah Taylor were even with seven points each. Final score was Clay 36 and Poca 54.

Next up on the chopping block was Braxton, and this was definitely a different game. The Panthers exploded out of the box with 61 points and Stephen Cole dropping the bombs to clear 16 points in the game. This time there were four Panthers in double digits. This was also a sad night for some as the Panther team said farewell to the seniors who would be moving on. Seniors are Chris Cole, Storm Carver, Eric McGlothin, and Dakota Keener, and they have been a force to reckoned with and will be missed. The boys lost to Ravenswood 55-60 in the LKC tournament game Thursday night and will start sectionals on March 1st. Come out and support the team!
