Brooklyn Coleman and Teyah Sams team up for the out at home.

First up this week were the Lady Panthers who went head to head with the Nicholas County Lady Grizzlies and the Hoover Lady Huskies in the LKC sectional tournament. However, this was not to be the year for the Lady Panthers. They went 15 rounds with the Lady Grizzlies but didn’t get knocked out completely. They played a good game but lost to the Lady Grizzlies 0-8 in the first round of play offs. Errors plagued them, and against a team like the Lady Grizzlies, it makes it tough to win. Next up was the Lady Huskies, and considering they are at the top of the food chain in girls’ softball, these girls would be tough to beat. This was a must win to stay in situation. With errors hanging around like an after dinner cigar, the Lady Panthers end their season with a loss to the Lady Huskies. It has been a good year. No, it wasn’t a dream season but the Lady Panthers gave 100 percent on the field. With only one senior leaving the den, the Lady Panthers will be sure to come back big next season. Congratulations on being in the fight all season and giving the fans something to cheer about.
