The Lady Mustangs brought out the salt and pepper last week in a matchup pitting the arch rival Lady Mustangs against the Lady Bears of Summersville Middle.  The tension was thick as clay mud as the game got underway as the Lady Bears are one of the toughest teams that they meet up with during regular season play.  It was clear from the onset that getting a clear shot on either defense would be tough; they would have to be creative on their play calling.  The Lady Mustangs drew first blood on the boards and never looked back.  A relentless defense held the Lady Bears to very few baskets, and the home team owned the boards on rebounds even with a distinct height disadvantage.   The Lady Mustang offense found a way through the hands in the face defense by the Lady Bears and started racking up the points.  The game was fast paced, full on, and heated at times but made for a great ball game.  Kacey Butcher was the ace shooting for 12 points with three of those being three pointers.  The final score was Lady Mustangs 28, Lady Bears 20.  With the regular season ending, the Lady Mustangs will start their journey toward the championship.  If the Lady Mustangs can keep up the pace, they will definitely be tough to beat.  Good luck Lady Mustangs.
