rollysonThe man accused of taking pictures of a young boy in a gas station bathroom has turned himself in to West Virginia State Police, admitting to the crime. 31 year old Jason Rollyson of Frametown was arraigned before Magistrate Jeff Boggs on Thursday, charged with the use of minors in filming sexually explicit conduct prohibited and prohibited child erotica.

Nearly one month ago, a 9 year old boy told his grandmother that a strange man had taken pictures of him while his pants were down and he was using the bathroom. Cpl. Green of the Clay Detachment started an investigation immediately, obtaining surveillance video from the Big Otter Exxon where the incident allegedly occurred. Leads from the public helped police identify Rollyson, who eventually turned himself. At that time, Rollyson’s cellphone was taken and sent to the WVSP crime lab for analysis.

State Police now fear there may be more victims. “There is a possibility at this time. We have his phone and some hard drives from a computer, some SD cards, memory cards that are at this time being analyzed to further investigate to see if there is other evidence of more of this type of crime,” explained Cpl. Paul Green. If you have further information regarding Rollyson or know a child that may have been a victim of this type of crime, call the Clay detachment of the West Virginia State Police immediately at 304-286-3185.

Rollyson’s bond is set at $220,000 cash or surety only.
