On May 9, 2014, Deanna Holcomb Stephenson traveled to UC Field of Charleston, WV and competed in the WV Challenged Sports Championship. In track and field event, Deanna received first place in club with the distance of 4.84 meters, which is a state record for her classification. She also beat her old record in 2012 of 3.99 meters. She received first place in the discus event with a distance of 2.9 meters, also beating that old record of 2.69 meters. This was also a state record. This is the first time she had tried the Shot-put event, and she received first place in this also with a state record of 1.76 meters. Deanna also participates in wheel chair basketball in the winter time.

Lora Holcomb says “I believe her drive comes from her love for her two children Lilly and Kain. We are all so proud of all the accomplishments she has made, and are looking forward to more in the future. Deanna’s motto is With God all things are possible, so keep faith.”
