The Danny Suite Memorial Wrestling Tournament was held on Sunday with 27 teams and hundreds of wrestlers competing from all over the state.   The fans had plenty of opportunity to see some great matches filled with the intensity that is so common with this sport.  The Clay High School gym was filled to near capacity as fans and coaches cheered each wrestler on.  The Clay Junior wrestlers collided with some of the best from the 40 pound brackets to the 150 pound brackets, from 6 year olds to 14 and 15 year olds.  This tournament gives the opportunity to gain the experience needed for each wrestler to raise their skill to the next level.  This tournament, named in honor of Danny Suite who cared deeply for the sport and those who dedicated their time and efforts to it, seems to gain momentum each year and will be one of the biggest in the state.  This would not be except for those behind the scenes who cooked, cleaned, controlled, kept score, refereed, announced, kept the books and all around supported the wrestlers and made the other teams feel at home; to those we give thanks.  Once again congratulations to all the wrestlers who came out and put on a show for all your fans.  Some of the winners from Clay were:  Tyler Adkins, Eric Keiffer, Cain Osborne,  Kenny Welch,  Christopher Moore, Samuel Cleavenger, Caiden Bryant,  Eugene Bishop, Riley Perkins, Blake Santos, Zane Minger, Dalton Myers,  Nick Friend,  Ian Dawson, Riley Perkins, Joel Cruickshank, Devon Rhodes, Jake Legg, Tristan Shaffer, Brice Hager, Trey Sams, Joseph Sears, and Gene Bishop.
