With so few family businesses remaining in Clay, the “Open” sign on the door of Clay Furniture and Appliances is a welcoming sight. The store has been a staple of business for decades and was recently sold to another individual. After the business failed to prosper under new ownership, Morgan and Joyce Gibson are once again running the operation. For those with limited travel options, Clay Furniture is the only place in town to buy new furniture and appliances. Hours have been restricted to 9am-5pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday only but the quality of service and product remain the same. Stop by the store and welcome the Gibsons back to Main Street.
