Clay County, this is your chance to clean up your part of the count, and do it for free. The Clay County Solid Waste Authority will be holding their annual Spring Clean Up on May 2, 2015 from 9:00 to 3:00 pm at Pierson’s Lumber Company.
They will be accepting all appliances (must be empty – no trash inside), air conditioners, lawn mowers, car engines (all fluids must be removed), car batteries, furniture, mattresses, microwaves, tvs, computers, monitors, all electronics and accessories.
There will also be a Tire Amnesty held on May 2 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Only tires from light duty cars and trucks will be accepted. You must have a valid WV identification and tires must be removed from the rims. There is a 10 tire per person limit and businesses are not allowed to participate in this event. Tires will not be accepted before May 2.
