Clay County Historical Society to Recognize Eloise Boggs

The Clay County Historical Society will be paying tribute to Ms. Eloise Boggs for her faithful service to the Society on Wednesday, September 1, at 2 pm, at the Clay County Public Library basement. Cake and ice cream will be served. 

Ms. Boggs, a 1941 CCHS graduate, who is a founding member of the Society, has researched, written, organized, and distributed the historical newsletter, Now and Then, for 31 years.  She also served on the book committee for both published historical books for the county. She began her work in 1990 and plans to continue as long as she can. 

They are asking everyone to send her a card to let her know how important and appreciated she is. Cards can be sent to

The tribute will take place directly after the monthly meeting, which will commence at 1 pm. Please come join in celebrating her 3+ decades of achievement.
