Christmas is a time that everyone looks forward to, in one way or another. This year, the weather has been crazy, time has flown by so quickly that it just doesn’t seem as though Christmas should be here and gone already, but it has already passed and the New Year is already upon us. The weather we have had so far is far from the normal we have seen over the past years. Usually, we have snow covered grounds and cold weather and this year has been the complete opposite with warm weather and rain or sun shiny days.
Christmas Day came as families gathered and ate and opened gifts and so did the rain. An unusual thunderstorm brought heavy rains and water began to rise in the creeks and streams. Before anyone knew it, there were many places flooded or had very high water and covered roads. Some homes had water into their basements and some had to be rescued. Unfortunately, that wasn’t anyone’s plans for Christmas. Thankful for good weather so far, we hope everyone still had a Merry Christmas!!
