Gracen Samples gets her big gun ready for some kills.

The Lady Panthers began their boot camp this past week and are preparing for war this year. They did some Navy Seal type conditioning and practiced their digging and kill shots. This year will be the year of the Panther; most girls are returning from last year better and stronger. The kill shots, from what I saw, will be tough to handle. Let’s just say it now, these 2014 Lady Panthers are good and will have a chance to go all the way to the big dance at the Civic Center. Head Coach Todd Samples will no doubt have them ready to play, and their first game will be at home against Roane and Gilmer on September 3rd at 6 pm. Volleyball is alive and well in this county, and the girls have worked very hard to get ready for this season. So let’s get out and support them.
