A team of heart and soul… definitely describes this group of young athletes.  A season of only six games has come to an end for these young men, but it certainly isn’t the end to a bright future in the sport of basketball for each and every one of them.  This group of boys included seasoned players from Saturday League teams to middle school teams and even a player or two who decided to give the sport a try for the very first time.  These boys worked hard together exercising teamwork, embracing one another’s talents, and helping one another to become a better basketball player.

From the very first game to the last game played against Chapmanville; these boys brought a much different game at the end.  The final game was one that showed a first class act of sportsmanlike conduct and perseverance.  If there is an award to be handed out by the school for the “Most Improved Team,” it should be given to these young Panthers.  Proud is the word of choice that sums up how the coaches, parents, families, friends and fans would share about these boys.  It was nice to see so many people come out and support these boys, even at the away games.

Stand proud freshman team and “Keep on, keepin’ on Boys!”
