Senior Lilly Goldizen doing what she does best.
Senior Gracey Champ serves like a pro.

The Lady Panther Volleyball team has been playing some pretty good ball lately and once again looks like a team that has their ducks all lined up for up and coming sectionals.  This past week they were on the road and at home against Calhoun and Webster.  It was also senior night as the Lady Panthers bid farewell to two of the best that have played on the courts, Lilly Goldizen and Gracey Champ.  These girls have been on the front lines killing, digging, and stuffing and have been the best at their game.  The volleyball fans wish both of these gifted players the best in their future endeavors.  Calhoun was on the chopping block early on in the week, and the Lady Panthers ground the Lady Devils into ashes winning the set 3-1.  It was back at home for the senior event and there was no way that the Lady Highlanders were going to spoil their senior party.  The evening’s entertainment was up to the Lady Panthers, and they performed their show nearly flawless as the Lady Highlanders fell to the Lady Panther machine.  The first game of the set was one of those games a player has nightmares about.  The Lady Panthers racked up points on the board as they started to smell skunk.  The Lady Highlanders managed to get a few points to put the skunk back in the cage, but the Lady Panthers won the first game 25-14.  Then it got ugly for the Lady Highlanders as the Lady Panthers pulled out the dream team and took the next game by the score of 25-7.  The Lady Highlanders had one last chance before their Halloween came early.  However, the Lady Panthers put on the dog in the third game and the Lady Highlanders never stood a chance; final score of the 3rd game was Lady Panthers 25, Lady Highlanders 10.    The Lady Panthers have just a couple of games left before sectionals, come out and support the team.

Ilyauna Evans gets the dig.
