The Panther basketball team just seems to be getting better and better as the season goes on. This past week they took on the Midland Trail Patriots.
Once again the Panthers lit up the court with high flying offense and in your face defense. Isaac Workman set the pace for the Panthers knocking down 31 points in the game with Thomas Haverty hitting for 16 points and Garrett Quinn with 10. It was the fourth period when the Panthers pulled away and deposited this game in the win column by hitting for 26 points. When the smoke cleared and basketballs racked, it was the Panthers over the Patriots 68-54. The Panthers will be back in action Monday night for the last home game of the season and Senior night. The Panthers will take on Doddridge County in a make-up game. The Lady Panthers will be in action at home as well this week against Cabell Midland on Tuesday night. Come and support the teams as they get set for the playoffs.
The Mustang basketball team was also in action this past and have just a couple of games left before tournament play. They defeated Walton 46-34 and Geary 64-5. They will be at home against Ravenswood, who beat them at the beginning of the season, on Thursday at 6 p.m. Come out and support the teams as the season comes to a close.
