Panthers Primed for Opener on Friday night

This past Friday evening, the Panther football team was on the road in Putnam County to take on the Bison of Buffalo High School in an all out scrimmage. They brought a bucket full of guts, grit and attitude to the gridiron for some much needed physical pounding. Nerves and emotion filled the air as the teams warmed up. The Bison came in to show the Panthers what they were made of. There were big hits on both sides of the coin. The Panther defense was all over the field, and what they lack in size they make up for in speed and pure pit bull attitude. The Panthers love the taste of pig skin, and when the game starts, it’s dinner time. Offense was on the ball as well. Both the varsity quarterback and the backup could fire the ball and scramble when necessary.
The running game has runners that have the ballerina touch and the guts to run over what’s in the way. The line was a bit underweight in comparison, but it made no difference most of the time. The speed of the Panther line gave them the ability to get into the backfield on a lot of the plays. The whole Panther team played very well, and the season looks bright. As playing time went on, the Panthers only got better. There was a few mishaps, but all in all it was a good look at what they needed to work on before the season opener with Fayetteville on the 28th of August, game time 7:30 pm. It is a new year, a new attitude, and the Panthers are geared up and will be in top condition come game day. So paint those faces and drop some tail gates; it’s time once again for Panther Football.pic5 pic4 pic3 pic2 pic1 front page pic
