The Panther wrestling team traveled to Fairmont High School to compete in the Winners Choice championship on Friday and Saturday.  This was a good tournament for the Panther wrestling team, and even though they didn’t place high as a team, three of the wrestlers placed in the top ten.  In this tournament the best in this state and other states compete for the top spots in the north.  This is one of the toughest tournaments next to the state tournament.  Noah Casto went and showed them what a southern boy can do and took 2nd place in the tournament.  Zane Minger took 4th place and Ethan “Spike” Morris took 6th.   The Panthers continue to get better as the season moves on.  They have new wrestlers who want to make CCHS wrestling great, and if fate has its way, within the next couple of years the CCHS Panther wrestling team will once again dominate every match as they once did.   Even with the hand full of wrestlers that the Panthers have, the quality is through the roof.  We look for great things out of this team as the season rolls on.  They will be back in action on January 18th at Braxton for a quad match and South Charleston High School on Saturday, January 21.  Come out and support the team.
