The Panther basketball team has broken the mold they have been mired in and won their last two games.

In spirited fashion, the Panthers played like it was their last, handling the ball well and getting points on the boards. The boys dominated the offense and defense on both ends of the court. They have gotten back on track in the nick of time, as the sectionals are coming soon, and going in with a couple of wins on their shoulders will certainly give them a momentum.

All season the Panthers have played well, for the most part, but couldn’t seem to hold onto leads and would lose by just a couple of points. Now, with wins against Braxton County, 73-70, and Ritchie County, 66-62, they will face a tough Nicholas team on Tuesday night at Nicholas County High School. This will be their final game of regular season. Let’s hope that their momentum will carry into this game. If they can keep scoring the way they have been they will be tough to beat.

Isaac Workman and Thomas Haverty both had 21 points in the game against Ritchie.

Come out and support the Panthers.
