Call out the fire department! Bats were combusting into flame as the CCMS Mustang baseball team lectured Duval Middle School Yellow Jackets on the fine art of baseball.  Bases became dance floors, and home plate was crossed like busy railroad tracks.

The Mustangs sent right hander Dillon Moore to the hill to chill the bats of Duval.  He was smoking the fast balls, and his dirty stuff had more English than the dictionary. The Yellow Jackets managed to scatter enough hits to score six runs against the Mustang defense. Mustang offense went to work and got the job done scoring 11 runs in the game against some pretty good pitching. This early in the season, the only other game the Mustangs have had was against Hamlin, and they won that game 11-0.  Rain has given the Mustangs a slow start with three of their  games being cancelled. They will have a two game road stretch before returning home on April 12 and 13 against Valley Fayette and Hamlin. This week they have one game on April 7 against Crum Middle school, and it will be an away game, weather permitting. Go Mustangs.
