The Mustang wrestling team had its last match of the 2016-2017season at the CWVAC Championship held at Spencer.

The Mustangs have been a powerhouse at every match they have wrestled and have some of the best up and coming wrestlers. One of those wrestlers who has gone above and beyond is Colten Casto. Casto was the first wrestler in CCMS history to get first last week at the WSAZ tournament. This week was no different when he became CWVAC champion.

Joining him in the champion circle were Jake Legg and Riley Perkins.

All three of these wrestlers will be a welcome addition to the CCHS team one day. Placing second were Noah Auxier, Blake Sontos, Gene Sams, Noah Casto and Tyler Cummings. Third place went to Dakota Neal and Richard Triplett. Fourth was Bo Roat. The team, overall, placed second.

Head Coach TJ Legg, along with the help of others, has put the Mustang wrestling team back on the map as a powerhouse team.

Congratulations to the champs and the team on a great season.
