By Allen Hamrick

The Mustang baseball team had a rough week but have also done some bat breaking in the last couple of weeks with wins against Spencer, Valley, and Midland Trail. This week they went 1-2 locking horns with South Harrison, Logan and Braxton. First up was South Harrison and the Mustangs never did find their groove with the bat losing the game 0-9. The next game was against the powerhouse at Logan Middle. The game went back and forth with both teams cracking the bat, but it was Logan that had the upper hand and went on to win the game 1-18. The game was full on action, but the Mustangs came up short.

Next up was Braxton, and it was nothing short of a massacre. Palmer Adkins went to the hill to dish out a much-needed whippin’, and it was truly that by the time the bats were cooled. At the end of the day the Mustangs owned the day, winning 20-1.

The Mustangs had 22 hits with some players piling up multiple hits and got a much-needed win. The Mustangs will be butting heads with Spencer on Monday at home, so with just a few games left in the season come out and catch a game.
