It was a good week of volleyball smacking action for the CCHS Lady Panther volleyball team. The team travelled to the Fayetteville on Tuesday to take on some tough competition where the Lady Panthers got down to the business of kicking some butt.

First up to the slaughter was Meadow Bridge who appeared ready to hold school but couldn’t handle the ever pressing ball handling of their opponents. No matter what they sent over the net, the Lady Panthers handed it back to them with some fire attached to it. The girls played like a well oiled machine with only a few balls getting past them, but after all you have to let ‘em score a few. The Lady Panthers defeated them in two straight games.

Next up was Doddridge County, who played well but not well enough. The Lady Panthers rolled over them in two straight games, as well. The girls then travelled to Calhoun and, as of this writing, I do not know what officially happened. All in all, the girls have played during a tough season but now have a winning streak going on. That’s pretty good stuff. They will play at Roane this Tuesday at 6  p.m. Come out and support the Lady Panthers.
