The Lady Panthers have had a rough week dropping two games in the loss bucket. The Ladies lost at home against the Lady Raiders of Roane and then again to Summers County. Junior varsity, however, whipped the JV Lady Raiders 53-24. Emilea Holcomb slammed 20 of those points on the board to lead the JV. The varsity girls have to get their game on; they are now officially on a losing streak, losing the last three games. Coming up for the Lady Panthers is the much anticipated rematch against the Lady Grizzlies on Tuesday night. At their last meeting, the two teams battled back and forth, and the Lady Panthers missed winning that one by the skin of their teeth. However, the Lady Panthers are in a major slump and can’t seem to buy a basket.

When the Lady Panthers have less than 10 points in a period and sometimes just 5 points, something is not right in the bullpen. The Lady Panthers are a good team and will need to find the hoop Tuesday night. It will either be a barn burner or a burned out candle. Let’s hope the Lady Panthers find their groove and get back on track.

Sarah Boggs and Makalya Horrocks were both in double digits from the field. Boggs claims the high spot with 15 and Horrocks with 10. The Lady Panthers have seemingly lost the perimeter shots from three point range, and it is something they will have to get back to have that trick up their sleeve.

Everybody be there at the game if you can, there’s no doubt Nicholas will bring a ton of fans. Go Lady Panthers!
