Sawyer Jace Grose

Clay — Sawyer Jace Grose, 24, formerly of Clay, entered into rest Wednesday, January 11, 2017.

Born November 4, 1992, in Charleston, he was the son, of Troy Allen Grose Jr. of Big Otter and Jennifer (Brian) Rich of Buckhannon.

Sawyer was employed with Narcanon Freedom Center, Albion, MI, and devoted his time to helping people with drug/alcohol dependence and recovery.

In addition to his parents, Sawyer is survived by his sisters, Torrie Brielle Grose of Buckhannon and Laikyn Grose of Clay; step-brother, Jaric Rich of Buckhannon; nieces, Marli and Maycee Burnside of Buckhannon; and his fur baby, Yogi.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Wayne Smith officiating.

Friends may gather with family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations toward an Education Fund for Sawyer’s nieces (Marli and Maycee) c/o Clay County Bank, Clay, WV.
