Well, volleyball fans, the Lady Panther team started the season off with a road trip to Doddridge County.

It was a big tournament on Saturday as the Lady Panthers butted heads with several tough teams. Over the years there have been great rival games in this tournament – always a war on the floor.  The Lady Panthers battled with Braxton, Berkeley Springs, East Hardy and Doddridge.  Their cannons were loaded, and they fired the kill shots in the opening game against Braxton, easily defeating them.  Berkley Springs and East Hardy also went down at the hands of the Lady Panthers.  The Lady Panthers placed first in the silver bracket. Overall, the Lady Panthers placed 3rd in a large field of great teams after a tough loss to Doddridge.  The Lady Panthers played a good game, but mistakes kill a team.  Not a bad start to the new season.  The Lady Panthers head to Ravenswood in a tri match against Ravenswood and South Charleston on Tuesday at 6 PM. The girls will be trying once again to gain glory at the state tournament, so come out, catch a game and cheer them on. Go Lady Panthers!
