It was a week of ups and downs for the Lady Panthers as they split their games this past week.   The week started out a tough one going up against Gilmer County, and it was all that and a stick of butter.  The Lady Panthers got off to a rough start against the Lady Titans getting buried in the first period getting out scored 5-20.  The Lady Titans came out in an all out in your face basketball defense and offense and took the fight to the Lady Panthers.   The Lady Panthers had a rough time getting the points to fall in the first half; it was a good air show but the bombs were not hitting the mark, and the Lady Titans were ahead by 11 at the half.  When the second half started, one could tell it was a different den of Lady Panthers but the deficit was going to be hard to overcome.   It was not to be for the Lady Panthers. It was too much to do and not enough time on the board.  Erica Boggs knocked down 12 points to lead the Panthers followed by Marrissa Williams with 11 points.  Kylie Shuff led the Lady Titans with 30 points.   The Lady Panthers then travelled to Poca High School to take on the Lady Dots, and it was a rough one. The Lady Panthers pulled this one out of their hats and beat the Lady Dots by the score of 52-48.  The Lady Panthers will be on a three game road trip which starts in Roane County on Monday night, Webster County on Thursday night and Summers County on Saturday morning with a game time of 11:30 am.  The Lady Panthers are having a fine season with a record of 11-3 and have a good chance at the LKC tournament coming up soon.  Good luck Lady Panthers.
