The CCHS Lady Mustangs volleyball team has definitely had their ups and downs this season.  On deck first this past week was Geary Middle School coming into the match hopeful but not overzealous.   The Lady Mustangs didn’t get off the ground too well and seemed to be a little flat-footed against the fast playing Geary team.  The Lady Mustangs got shot down in two games of what was supposed to be a barn burner but got into no man’s land early and had to fight back.   The Lady Mustangs brought their show back home on Tuesday to take on the Lady Yellow Jackets of Spencer.   They came out with a vengeance after the loss to Geary and the games against the Lady Yellow Jackets were tight as the Lady Mustangs cut down on the mistakes. However, the Lady Mustangs couldn’t get the breaks and they took their second loss of the week losing in two straight.  The Lady Mustangs are loaded with talent but are having a tough time getting the ball to fall their way this season.  However, with ten games left, the Lady Mustangs need a push toward the winner’s circle and get some games in the win bracket before the CWVAC tournament.  They will have two home games this week on Monday evening and Wednesday evening with Ravenswood first at bat on Monday.  Then they will have a rematch with Geary on Wednesday.  Come out and support the team; go Lady Mustangs!
