Panther football is in the news again as some of the finest players to grace the Panther field have been named to the WV All-State and LKC All-Conference teams. These boys worked hard and have been recognized for their accomplishments. Senior Ryan Burdette was named to the West Virginia AA 1st Team All-State football team as a defensive end. Ryan led the CCHS team in the following categories: tackles, sacks, catches, receiving yards, tackles for loss, receiving touchdowns, fumble recoveries, and was tied with several for the team lead in touchdowns. Ryan is still undecided on his future plans, and it remains to be seen if he will be playing football at the next level. There have been numerous college teams interested in recruiting Ryan to play for them.
