BJ Williams has meant a lot to the football team during his four year career at Clay County High School.   BJ is now a senior with his Panther years behind him and has signed his letter of intent to play football with the Glenville Pioneers.  Here, he will take his skill set to the next level.  BJ Williams has shown hard work and dedication to his sport on and off the court.  He has run, caught, tackled, scored and broke records while he was at CCHS, and his shoes will definitely be a tough fill for the coaches next season.

The football fans of this county will remember BJ Williams as one tough kid who put it all on the line for the fans.   Clay County High School has been fortunate to have BJ Williams with his desire to succeed and a work ethic to go along with it.  He disciplined himself to fortify his principles and his passion for football.  He now has the opportunity to take his game to new ground and make a difference on another team.

The Pioneers will definitely be getting a star to play on their grass.  His career at CCHS as a Panther was nothing short of epic.  He had 4,380 all purpose yards, 2,731 yards receiving, 754 yards rushing, 401 yards on kick-off returns, 352 yards on punt returns and threw for 90 yards and a TD.  On points, he had a total of 334 career points.  On defense, he had 174 tackles 13 interceptions and 21 pass breakups.  His record includes career receiving yards- 2,731, LKC Career receiving yards- 2,731, CCHS career TD catches -32, CCHS career points 334, and CCHS career and single season leader in catches with 203 career, 84 on the season.

His awards include 2023 and 2022 1st Team All State Utility, 2021 Honorable Mention All State, and three time 1st team All LKC.  Even with all these successes, he was every bit a team player and loved to play.  He is truly a class act; he made football fun to watch and kept you on the edge of your seat with his abilities on the field.  He will be missed and his shoes will be a tough pair to fill. I would say good luck to him in the future, however, an individual with the skill he has needs no luck…
