Ivy “Nikki” Aleshire

For the third time, Ivy “Nikki” Aleshire is a national qualifier in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

On December 4, 2016, Aleshire ran in the San Antonio Marathon in San Antonio, TX. She was the 10th female finisher, the first in her age group, and overall finished 116th out of 2,500 marathoners. Her time was 3:39:47. This qualified her for the NAIA (small college) marathon in Gulf Shores, AL, in May. She also qualified for the Boston marathon.

Aleshire is the daughter of Rodney and Linda Aleshire of Bickmore and a senior at WVU Tech. She will graduate in May with a degree in nursing.

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and run with patience the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)
