Resale items such as wearing apparel, souvenirs, books, food products and more will be available from vendors at the annual Gift Buying Marketplace at Pipestem Resort, Feb. 3-5, 2014.

“It’s the Superbowl of wholesale buyers looking for a large number of suppliers under one roof,” said Dale McLaughlin, lodge manager. “The staff at the park from front desk clerks to group services staff always enjoy organizing and hosting the show.”

New vendors to this year’s marketplace include Rocky Mountain Sinkers, Brookstone Soaps, the Souvenir Factory and others. More than 50 vendors are registered. Many retail shops and state park gift shop buyers take this opportunity for item purchases.

“It’s one-stop shopping. It is a two-and-a-half day opportunity to meet other retailers as well as vendors” McLaughlin said.

The marketplace is open to retail buyers. Pre-registration is requested but walk-ins are also welcomed. The marketplace is held at Pipestem’s McKeever Lodge, Feb. 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Feb. 5 from 9 a.m. until noon. Evening activities are planned for attendees who stay overnight. There is no fee for qualified retailers to attend. A registration form is online at www.pipestemresort.com.

Call Dale McLaughlin at Pipestem Resort State Park, 304-466-1800, for more details.
