CHARLESTON – The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce recently announced that it had endorsed Sam Cann for re-election to West Virginia’s 12th senatorial district.

“I’m proud and honored to have the support of the West Virgina Chamber of Commerce” said Senator Cann. “Strengthening West Virginia’s ability to attract, retain and grow jobs for our state’s ready workforce is the West Virginia Chamber’s highest priority. Given that there is no more important issue in this campaign I’m especially honored to have earned this endorsement.” Senator Cann was also endorsed by the Harrison County chapter of the Chamber of Commerce.

Senator Cann has earned a reputation for fighting for jobs and economic development both in the West Virginia State House and the state Senate. He has fought to cut more than $400 million in taxes on business and working families. He has also championed legislation to create tax free “launch pad” zonzes to foster new and innovative businesses and to create a “Future Fund” to diversify our economy and expand opportunities for our people.

Likewise, Senator Cann has fought to increase investment in high speed internet access throughout West Virginia in order to help give business and industry the high tech infratstructure they need to grow and prosper.
