Over 2,000 years ago there were three jews that would not bow down to the King’s golden images and gods. There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. These men, O King have not regarded thee, they serve not they Gods nor Worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Daniel 3:12. These three men were not worshipping his gods and image. You see they were worshipping the true Lord – the Lord has protected the children of Israel for thousands of years. The king summoned these three men and questioned them. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them “Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach and Abendnego, do not ye serve my gods nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Daniel 3:14. They replied no and the king was infuriated and sentenced them to be burned alive! Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Sharach, Meshach and Abednego therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. Daniel 3:19. He had a furnace stoked seven times hotter than usual! The fire was so hot that it burned the men that threw them in the fire. Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent and the furnace exceeding hot the flame of the fire slew those men that up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Daniel 3:22. Now as the three stood in the midst of the fire there appeared a fourth man on the scene in the fire with them. As the king looked intently in the fire the king said there is a fourth man in the fire and his vesture is that of the son of God. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose walking in the midst of the fire and they have no hurt and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Daniel 3:25. God will be with you through the fire and deliver you in such a way it will appear your trial never happened at all! Today we need men who will be on fire for God in their homes, families and churches. We need men to take a stand who refuse to bow or bend to what the world has to offer.
