It’s Still Possible

Sometimes you just stop and look around you and it looks like it is impossible to turn things around. It looks like things are going to pot. Too late we think. No way we say. Impossible.
If there was no God in Heaven, I would be quick to agree with you. But, there is a God in Heaven and all power is in His hand. It may not look like it to you but God is still in command. Then why are things in such a mess. Didn’t you hear of what is happening in Paris? In Iraq? Haven’t you heard what the government of Iran has declared about our country.
Yes, I’ve heard. I’ve also heard about China in the South China Sea and the instability of North Korea. I’m aware of Russia’s hunger to re-establish the USSR. I’ve also noted the unrest at some of our universities and how the flames are being fanned in places like Baltimore or Ferguson. These are merely signs of the times. When America went to the polls at the last presidential election, they cast their vote of who they wanted in the White House. They got it; or did they? They got what they thought they wanted but I don’t believe they got what they really wanted, just what they asked for.
As a nation we have departed from the principles God set before us and is set forth in our Constitution. Too old fashioned and out of date they say. Really? Truth doesn’t change. When a nation shuts God out of its classrooms and turns its back on His Word they are left to fend for themselves.
Congress may have lost its backbone and the judiciary may have forgotten their role and the White House inept except to give a speech and the church little more than a social club, however, all is not lost, not yet. God still has a people and even though they may be considered only a remnant, God still hears their prayer. 2Ch 7:14 says: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Humble themselves? Pray? Seek His face? Turn from their wicked ways? Then what will happen? God said He would heal their land. God is still able and He is willing. He cannot and will not fail!
David had his Goliath, Jehoshaphat his mountain and Joseph his long dark valley but when each of them called out to God, they prevailed. God is all powerful, His Word is true and God still hears the prayers of His people. It’s time for THE CHURCH to be THE CHURCH and honor their God by believing, declaring and praying what He said. The CHURCH has the authority, GOD has the power and the devil is already defeated. The trumpet has not sounded yet, the church has not been raptured and although the end is very near, it’s still today and Mt 19:26 says: “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
