Just Trust Me

Pr 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In the natural this can be a very hard thing to do. We like to be in charge and don’t like to step into unknown territory. If we don’t understand we are reluctant to move forward. We like to be in control.

The ways of God are higher than our ways. Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Most of the time we cannot see very far ahead and are limited in what we know about most things. God knows the whole of the situation and who it will affect, what it will cause and when is the best time to deal with it.

Sometimes we want to do what is right but it is not the right time. Sometimes the timing is right and we are short on knowledge or wisdom. That is part of the reason God tells us to trust Him with all thine heart. Not part of the time or in certain situations but with all our heart. That means we have to reach out in faith beyond our knowledge or understanding. But, praise the Lord,

God is faithful and God is love and He only wants what is best for you.

David didn’t have the maturity, experience or the training to face such an adversary as the giant Goliath who was well equipped for battle and had lots of experience to go along with it. David had one thing that made the difference. He had a relationship with God that moved him into a place of complete trust in God. When it came to sizing up the situation, David wasn’t sizing up Goliath but sizing up God. God was more than enough. David just trusted God and stepped beyond his understanding and by the grace of God prevailed.

In the natural, Elijah was certainly no match for the 850 false prophets that he challenged. But, Elijah wasn’t in the natural. He was in the spirit. He was not bound by the appearance of things but was empowered by the anointing of Almighty God. When Elijah got in the natural, he ran for his life from that woman Jezebel.

If we would learn to trust God instead of ourselves. If we would learn to walk by faith instead of intellectual analysis. If we would learn to seek God instead of our own solutions, God would bless us. He said He would make a way and provide our needs. Don’t take my word for it, read the Bible for yourself. God will speak to you through His Word if you have an open heart and receive what He says in faith believing. Have a blessed day.
