I am glad and proud to say that I live in the greatest nation on the face of the earth. I have been privileged to travel from Tel Aviv to Tokyo; from Port-au-Prince to Manila. There is no place like the United States of America.
Why is America so great? She was founded on a desire to serve almighty God. Her standard has always been Bible based. You can readily see it in our Constitution, Bill of Rights and it is highly visible in our court system. The freedom given us by the Word of God beats strongly in our chests and our resolve. We truly are a blessed nation.
Today we are under siege as never before. From the inside, from the outside from all quarters we are a target. Political correctness has replaced our courage. Humanism has become our religion and fear our standard bearer. At least that is what the elite of Washington want us to believe. The news media tell us what they want us to believe and politicians speak in such generalities that there is no substance hence no answers to the dilemma’s we face.
How serious is it? Deadly! As a nation we are asleep and not even aware of the dangers that lie in the shadows. We have forgotten about the terrible devastation that occurred on 9/11 or Fort Hood or Boston or Charleston, South Carolina. We aren’t worried about Iran, Isis or open borders. We can’t use the word illegal immigration because it might offend someone.
Putin wants to resurrect the old Soviet Union while China is flexing its muscles in the South China Sea. Iran is toying with us regarding developing the nuclear development of a bomb.
Amid all these threats and wars around the world our president is downsizing our military and cuttings the funds it needs. Politicians run the show. Why didn’t we win in Korea? Vietnam? Iraq? Our government has lost its will to win. We had the military might to win. We had the manpower to win. Washington did not have the will, the courage or the resolve to win.
Let me bring it into perspective. The challenges we face is not nation against nation or army against army. It is a spiritual warfare between good and evil. We have kicked God out of the government, the classroom and even the news. We would rather have the counsel of a humanistic college professor than Godly wisdom. When God gave Israel what they wanted, they suffered severe consequences. We as a nation have been forsaking God and God is giving us what we want. If we do not turn back to God as a nation, we will perish. Yes, we need to fear. We don’t need to fear Isis or Iran or Russia but we need to fear God. God didn’t just bless us to prosper as a nation but to step forth on the world stage and let our light shine as a Christian nation who is blessed, led and protected by almighty God. Through putting God first and seeking Him as He told us in II Chronicles 7:14, we can win. That is the only way. Our currency says “IN GOD WE TRUST”. Do we?
I served my country with 4 years of military service. I served West Virginia as a State Trooper. I served the people of Clay County as a Deputy Sheriff. Now, I serve the people as a Minister of the Gospel. God loves you!
