William Christopher Dale Belknap also known as “Billy”, 38 of Clay, entered into rest Thursday, January 19, 2017.

Born September 15, 1978, in Charleston, he was the son of Tony R. (Samantha) Welch and mother, Bennilee Welch. Billy was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Gearldine Belknap; and maternal grandfather, James Runnion.

In addition to his parents, Billy is survived by his son, Ian Belknap; daughter, Anastasia Belknap; three brothers, Donnie, Ronnie and Travis Welch;  sister Caitlyn Koch; three nieces, Jonna, Danielle, Zoey Welch; two nephews, Donnie J. and Travis R. Welch Jr; and paternal grandmother, Imogene Runnion.

Graveside service was held at 11a.m., Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at Tony Welch Family Cemetery, Blue Knob, with Minister Dean Rogers officiating.

Friend gathered with family from 10-11 a.m. at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay.
