Wilbert Eugene Runion, 68, of Newton, died Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
He was born April 4, 1954, at Clay, the son of the late Don and Marie Starcher Runion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Runion and Donald Runion.
Eugene was a retired employee of the former Burke-Parsons-Bowlby Plant, Reedy.
Survivors include his best friend and companion, Terry Starcher of Newton; her children, Mike Starcher of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Luke Starcher of Spencer: her five grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine Cummings of Culloden and Phyllis Cummings of Procious; four brothers, Frankie Runion, Johnny Runion, Jimmy Runion and Kenny Runion all of Procious.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the Deems Cemetery, Procious. There will be no visitation.
