Walter Raymond Gray

Walter Raymond Gray, 85, of Vaughan, entered into rest Friday, March 9, 2018.

He was born September 22, 1932 in Gilboa, to the late Jasper and Ida (Brown) Gray. Walter is also preceded in death by sister, Edna Mae, Elsie, Elvie, Laura, Pansy, Ethel, Alice, Violet and Rosemary; and brothers, Woody, Kenneth and Jasper Jr.

He was retired from Virginia Department of Highways and attended Vaughan Baptist Church.

Walter is survived by his son, Walter Dale Gray Jr.; daughter, Terri Gray; and three grandchildren; step-daughters, Donna Pritt, Kathy Pritt and Denise Duffield; a host of step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren;

A special thanks to step grandson, Donnie Peck Jr. for his loving care for Walter during his illness and to Pat Elswick, Angie Butler and Kanawha Hospice Care.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. March 24, at Vaughan Baptist Church, Twenty Mile Creek Road with Naaman Moore officiating.
